Call for Entries: International Environmental Awareness Cartoon Exhibition 2026 – Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) of Saudi Arabia, through the “Environmental Ambassadors” program, has announced the Kingdom’s first international environmental cartoon exhibition. This global call invites artists to contribute to ecological awareness through the art of caricature.
Exhibition Themes: “The Environment”
Submissions should focus on environmental conservation and challenges, including:
- Waste management and urban aesthetics.
- Air, marine, and soil pollution.
- Vegetation, afforestation, and combating deforestation.
- Biodiversity and sustainable resource consumption.
Participation Terms and Technical Rules
The exhibition is open to professional and amateur caricature artists worldwide.
- Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years of age or older.
- Submission Limit: Each artist may submit a maximum of 5 works.
- Technical Specifications: Works must be A3 size, in JPG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- Artistic Style: Only Silent Cartoons (works without any text or captions) will be accepted.
- Prohibitions: The use of AI-generated art, plagiarism, or non-original content is strictly forbidden. Violation of this rule results in immediate disqualification.
Rights and Recognition
- Artwork Rights: All submitted works become the property of the Ministry. The Ministry reserves the right to use these works for media publications, cultural activities, and environmental campaigns within Saudi Arabia.
- Selection: A specialized technical committee will evaluate entries to select the best pieces for the exhibition.
- Certificates: All participants will receive an electronic certificate and a digital copy of the exhibition catalog.
