Call for Entries: 24th International Biennial of Graphic Humor – Cuba 2025 🎨✍️🌍

The 24th International Biennial of Graphic Humor in San Antonio de los Baños is now accepting submissions! Organized by the Circle of Humorists and Cartoonists of the Union of Journalists of Cuba and the Museum of Humor of San Antonio de los Baños, this prestigious event will take place from April 20 to 23, 2025 in Cuba.

This year, cartoonists and humorists from around the world are invited to reflect on the theme: “Less Fake and More News”, addressing the role of misinformation and media manipulation in today’s digital landscape.

🖌 Who Can Participate?

✔ Open to all cartoonists worldwide.

✔ Artists may submit works under two themes:

• A) Free Theme

• B) No to the War in Palestine (Tomy Prize category)

📌 Categories

Artists can submit one work per category, choosing from:

✔ General Humor

✔ Political Satire

✔ Humorous Comic Strip

✔ Personal Caricature

✔ Humorous Photography

✔ Tomy Prize for Political Humor (Theme: No to the War in Palestine)

🎨 Submission Guidelines

📌 Digital Submissions:

✔ Format: JPG, 300 dpi

✔ Minimum resolution: 1,500 pixels on the longest side

✔ Files must be named: authorname_country_category.jpg

🏅 Eduardo Abela Prize – The top award of the competition, honoring the legendary Cuban cartoonist. Includes a diploma, trophy, and artwork.

🏅 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in each category, awarded with diplomas.

🏅 Tomy Prize for Political Humor – For outstanding anti-imperialist and leftist graphic work. Includes a diploma, trophy, and a reproduction of one of the winner’s artworks.

🏅 Additional collateral prizes from various Cuban cultural and social institutions.

🌎 Exhibition & Jury

✔ Selected works will be exhibited at the 24th International Salon of Graphic Humor in San Antonio de los Baños.

✔ An international jury of renowned graphic humor professionals will judge submissions.

✔ The jury’s decisions are final.
