feridundemir.org is an independent site where I follow the international cartoon world and publish my own work.

I write about competitions, exhibitions, festivals, awards, publications and the people behind the drawings. I also cover issues that affect cartoonists directly — from freedom of expression and the shrinking space for cartoons in newspapers to the growing use of artificial intelligence.

A lot of this information is scattered across different countries, languages and sources. Finding it, checking the details and putting it together takes time. That is a large part of what I do here.

What you’ll find here

feridundemir.org follows different corners of the cartoon world: competitions and exhibitions, awards and new publications, stories about cartoonists, and the debates shaping the profession.

You’ll also find my own cartoons here.

I am a cartoonist myself, and I want that part of the site to grow alongside the news and archive — with more drawings, more often. I want to spend more time creating new cartoons and make feridundemir.org a place where I can regularly publish them.
