Plankton: The Movie – The Tale of Bikini Bottom’s Notorious Antagonist
Netflix’s collaboration with Nickelodeon is expanding with a film centered around Plankton, the infamous antagonist from the SpongeBob SquarePants series. “Plankton: The Movie,” set to release on Netflix in 2025, delves deep into the world of Plankton.
Directed by Dave Needham, this animated film narrates the adventure of Plankton’s world domination plans turned upside down. Plankton runs the Chum Bucket restaurant alongside Karen, a waterproof computer who also serves as his assistant and wife.
The voice cast includes Mr. Lawrence, Jill Talley, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Clancy Brown, and Rodger Bumpass. The screenplay is penned by Mr. Lawrence with support from Kaz and Chris Viscardi. Additionally, original songs written by Bret McKenzie, Linda Perry, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Bob Mothersbaugh will enhance the film’s musical richness.
