Call for Entries: “Marul de Aur” Satirical Graphics Salon – 2025, Bistrița, Romania

The 41st edition of the “Marul de Aur” (Golden Apple) International Festival of Satire and Humor is set to take place from March 29 to April 1, 2025, in Bistrița, Romania. This prestigious festival, known for celebrating humor in various artistic forms, invites cartoonists from all over the world to participate in the “Marul de Aur” International Satirical Graphics Competition – 2025.

📌 1. Humorous Drawing:

Theme: “TIK-TOK WAR / ELECTIONS”

📌 2. Portrait Drawing:

Theme: “MARX’S SHADOW IN MOSCOW”

📌 Participation Rules

✔ Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to all cartoonists worldwide, regardless of nationality.

✔ Submission Requirements:

• Each artist can submit a maximum of 3 works.

• Participation in both subsections is mandatory.

• Digital format only: JPG, 300 dpi.

• Submissions must include a CV (in Romanian or English) containing:

• Full Name

• Address

• Contact Phone Number

• Email

• Country of Origin

• Copy of ID Card/Passport

• IBAN Account Details (for prize distribution)

• The selected works will be featured in the “Marul de Aur” Satirical Graphics Salon – 2025.

• The winning artists will be invited to attend the Award Ceremony & Laureates’ Gala – 2025.

• The competition also includes other sections such as Literary Creation and Humor Interpretation, with their own selection and awarding process.

✅ The organizers reserve the right to publish or use submitted works in the festival catalog, website, or promotional materials without additional consent.

✅ Obscene or offensive works will not be accepted.
