Call for Entries: 2nd International Cartoon Exhibition, Norway 2026 – Theme: Children in War

“If you want to understand the true cost of war, look into the eyes of a child who has lived through it. Their stories are a testament to unimaginable suffering.”

Cartoon Home Network International (CHNI), under the leadership of Editor in Chief Fadi Abou Hassan (FadiToOn), officially invites cartoonists from around the globe to participate in the 2nd International Cartoon Exhibition, Norway 2026. This year’s poignant theme, “Children in War,” seeks to highlight the human cost of conflict through the powerful medium of satirical and conceptual art.

Contest Overview and Theme

The exhibition aims to create a visual dialogue about the suffering, resilience, and stolen childhoods of those caught in global conflicts. CHNI is looking for powerful, original works that speak truth to power and advocate for the rights of children.

Submission Regulations & Conditions

To ensure your work is considered for the online exhibition and the upcoming catalog, please adhere to the following regulations:

  • Quantity: Each cartoonist can submit a maximum of one (1) work.
  • Originality: The cartoon must be NEW and never previously published.
  • Technical Specs: Works must be submitted in JPG format with a resolution of 300 DPI, size A3.
  • Submission Method: Email your entry to chni2016@gmail.com.
  • Required Documentation: Along with your artwork, you must attach a Word file containing your full name, postal address, email, phone number, a professional photo, and a brief work history.

AI-Generated Art Policy

In the spirit of innovation and transparency, CHNI welcomes AI-generated cartoons. However, artists must explicitly state “AI-Generated” in the description. This ensures transparency while celebrating new forms of creativity alongside traditional and digital hand-drawn works.

Exhibition and Catalog

A professional jury will select 50 works to be featured in an online exhibition and an accompanying online catalog. Selected participants will be notified regarding the specific dates and physical locations of future gallery showings.
