Call for Entries: The 20th International Exhibition of Satirical Graphics “Bucovina” – Suceava 2026, Romania

The National Museum of Bucovina is proud to announce the 20th milestone edition of the International Exhibition of Satirical Graphics “Bucovina.” We invite professional and amateur cartoonists from all corners of the globe to showcase their wit and artistic talent in this prestigious Romanian competition.

Theme: “Building. Home sweet home!”

1. General Participation Rules

• Eligibility: Open to all professional and amateur cartoonists worldwide over the age of 18.
• Submission Limit: Each artist may submit a maximum of five (5) cartoons.
• Documentation: You must attach a participation form in .doc format including your:
  • Full Name (Name and Surname)
  • Exact Postal Address
  • E-mail Address

2. Technical Specifications

• Submission Method: Digital entries must be sent to: competition@muzeulbucovinei.ro
• Resolution: Minimum 300 dpi.
• File Size: Maximum 2 MB per file.
• Format: Maximum A3 size.
• Technique: Open (Black and white or color).

3. Important Deadlines

• Digital Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026.
• Results Announcement: Beginning of June 2026.
• Original Artwork Deadline (Winners Only): June 30, 2026 (Postage date).

4. Awards & Prizes

• Bucovina Prize: €500 + Diploma
• First Prize: €400 + Diploma
• Second Prize: €300 + Diploma
• Third Prize: €200 + Diploma
• Mentions: 5 Diplomas will be awarded.

5. Special Terms & AI Policy

• NO AI: Cartoons produced with artificial intelligence are NOT accepted.
• Originals: Winners of the Bucovina Prize and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes must send their original hand-made works by mail to the museum’s physical address.
• Catalogue: All selected artists will receive a printed exhibition catalogue.
• Usage Rights: The National Museum of Bucovina reserves the right to use submitted works to promote the contest and its results.
