Winners Announced for the 10th International Alanya Cartoon Competition!
The organizing committee of the 10th International Alanya Cartoon Competition has officially unveiled the winners of its milestone 10th edition. Following a high-level jury evaluation at the historic Hasanağalar Konağı, the results highlight a masterful blend of global creativity centered around this year’s theme: “Caravan.”
🌍 A Global Stage: 53 Countries, 856 Artworks
This year’s competition solidified its status as a major event in the international arts calendar. The “Caravan” theme drew participation from 323 artists representing 53 countries, with a total of 856 submissions.
After a rigorous selection process, the jury shortlisted 60 artworks—14 of which received prestigious awards, while 46 were selected for the official exhibition.

The top honors were awarded to artists who demonstrated exceptional wit and artistic skill:

- Ibrahim Tapa Memorial Award: Oleksiy Kustovsky (Ukraine)
- Musa Gümüş Memorial Award: Gabriel Rusu (Romania)

📍 Exhibition at the 800-Year-Old Kızılkule
The winning and selected artworks will be showcased at the iconic Kızılkule (Red Tower), which celebrates its 800th anniversary this year. This historic backdrop provides a symbolic setting for the “Caravan” theme, bridging centuries of history with modern satire.
Save the Date: The official award ceremony and exhibition opening will take place on May 23, 2026, during the 24th International Alanya Culture, Art, and Tourism Festival.
A special memorial exhibition dedicated to the late cartoonist Musa Gümüş will also be featured, honoring his lasting legacy and contributions to the world of cartoons.
