The 22nd International Humor Salon of Limeira 2026, organized by Editora O PIU (Brazil), has officially opened its international call for entries. Cartoonists from around the world are invited to submit original works in four competition categories. Participation is free of charge, and the submission deadline is 30 August 2026.
A Competition Dedicated to Art, Reflection and Human Creativity
For more than two decades, the International Humor Salon of Limeira has promoted graphic humor as a powerful form of artistic expression capable of encouraging dialogue, critical thinking and social awareness.
In his presentation for this year’s edition, organizer Roberto Bonomi explains that the official poster was inspired by one of today’s most urgent global concerns: protecting our planet. Created by internationally acclaimed Bulgarian cartoonist Ivaylo Tsvetkov, the poster illustrates how humanity is gradually consuming its own world through pollution, excessive waste and environmental destruction.
The organizers also explain that Artificial Intelligence was used only as a supporting tool in preparing the promotional campaign. However, they strongly reaffirm that the Salon continues to value human artistic creation above all else and does not encourage AI-generated artworks. Original ideas, individual artistic style, creativity and critical thinking remain the essence of the competition.
Ivaylo Tsvetkov also joins the judging panel of the 22nd International Humor Salon of Limeira.
