Entries remain open for the HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2026, Huawei’s annual global mobile photography and imaging competition celebrating creativity captured exclusively with Huawei smartphones.
Organized through Huawei’s XMAGE photography platform, the competition invites Huawei smartphone users worldwide to submit photographs and videos created using Huawei devices. The awards provide an international platform for mobile photographers to showcase their creativity through a wide variety of visual storytelling approaches.
The 2026 edition features nine competition categories:
- So Far So Close
- Colour & Shade
- Good Night
- Active Moments
- Faces
- A Heartwarming World
- Experimental Lab
- Storyboard
- Action
The categories cover a broad range of photographic styles, including portraits, night photography, everyday life, action, experimental photography, multi-image storytelling (3–9 images), and short-form video narratives.
Following the submission deadline, all eligible entries will be reviewed before an international jury selects the XMAGE 100 finalists. From these finalists, three Grand Prize Winners will be announced.
How to Submit
Participants must submit their entries through the official HUAWEI XMAGE Awards website by signing in with a HUAWEI ID, where they can upload, manage, and edit their submissions until the deadline.
Entries may also be submitted through HUAWEI Community, My HUAWEI, and via Instagram by posting the work with the hashtag #HUAWEIXMAGE and following @huaweixmageawards. Instagram participants must keep their accounts public and allow direct messages so the organizers can contact them if their work is shortlisted.
Each participant may submit up to 30 entries. A single photograph, a photo series, or a video counts as one entry. Photographs must be submitted in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format (maximum 30 MB), while videos must be in MP4 format (maximum 400 MB). All entries must be captured using a Huawei smartphone and retain their original EXIF metadata.
Eligibility
The competition is open to Huawei smartphone users worldwide who are at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in their country.
All submitted works must:
- Be captured using a Huawei smartphone.
- Retain complete EXIF metadata.
- Not have previously won another competition.
- Not have been published in any public periodical before submission.
Prizes
The competition will recognize a total of 100 winning entries.
3 Grand Prize Winners will each receive:
- USD 10,000 (before tax) XMAGE Creation Fund
- Electronic certificate
97 XMAGE 100 Winners will each receive:
- USD 1,500 (before tax) XMAGE Creation Fund
- Electronic certificate
The organizer reserves the right to adjust the number of winners if necessary.
