CHNI MAG Issue No. 2 Prepares to Confront Football, War and FIFA’s Double Standards

Cartoon Home Network International has announced the upcoming publication of CHNI MAG – Issue No. 2, a new edition combining political cartooning, dark humour and visual criticism of contemporary global issues.

The cover artwork, created by Palestinian artist Kivara Ammar, presents a skull breaking through the net of a football goal. The image transforms the familiar symbolism of the World Cup into a disturbing visual statement about war victims, institutional silence and the perceived contradictions between FIFA’s public slogans and its actions.

Rather than presenting football solely as entertainment, the cover questions what may remain hidden behind the spectacle of the sport. It recalls the long-debated idea of football as a form of mass distraction while directing attention towards violence, political interests and human suffering beyond the pitch.

According to the magazine’s announcement, the second issue will bring together a wide range of cartoons, creative experiments and satirical works intended to challenge silence and confront readers with uncomfortable realities.

Published with the support of Cartoon Home Network International, CHNI MAG aims to provide an international platform for cartoonists whose work addresses political, social and humanitarian subjects through humour and visual satire.
