After more than 21 years of publishing under the name RaedCartoon, the team has launched a new website titled Syrian Cartoon.
Built around the principle, “Our goal is not to publish every story, but to publish the stories that truly matter,” the platform will feature important news, outstanding artworks, exhibitions, and notable events from the fields of cartoon and visual arts.
The new website is described not merely as a renamed continuation of RaedCartoon, but as a fresh beginning shaped by a different editorial approach. Syrian Cartoon will prioritise the quality of its content rather than the number of stories published, offering readers carefully selected news and works considered worthy of attention.
In its launch statement, the platform noted that the experience gained over the past two decades would remain an important part of its journey, while future publishing activities would be guided by a renewed vision. Syrian Cartoon aims to become a stronger platform that supports creativity, promotes high-quality artistic production, and contributes to Syrian and Arab cartoon art.
The statement included the following message:
