Call for Entries: The 3rd China Shengzhou International Caricature Exhibition 2026

The 3rd China Shengzhou International Caricature Exhibition 2026 has officially opened its call for entries, inviting caricature artists from around the world to submit original works portraying internationally recognized figures from politics, science, technology, culture, economics, sports and entertainment.

Organised by leading Chinese cartoon institutions, the exhibition aims to bring together high-quality caricatures that combine artistic skill, originality and humor. Approximately 200 works will be selected for the final exhibition, and all selected artists will receive an electronic certificate and a digital exhibition catalogue.

There is no limit on the number of entries each artist may submit. However, all works must have been created within the last five years, must be original, and must not have received awards in other competitions.

The organisers accept all artistic techniques, but artworks created using artificial intelligence (AI) are strictly prohibited. Likewise, plagiarised, copied or ghost-produced works will be disqualified. Works containing war propaganda, religious content, excessive violence, pornography or other inappropriate material will not be considered.

Artists are invited to create caricatures of internationally famous personalities from areas including:

  • Politics
  • Science and Technology
  • Culture
  • Economy
  • Sports
  • Entertainment

The organisers encourage entries that successfully combine likeness, creativity and visual humor.

Submission Requirements

Entries should be submitted as JPG files with a resolution of 300 dpi and a file size between 2 MB and 5 MB.

File names should follow this format:

Name_Work Title_Country

Each submission email must also include:

  • Full name
  • Country
  • Email address
  • Postal address
  • Postal code
  • Telephone number
  • Short biography
  • Personal photograph

Awards and Exhibition

Approximately 200 caricatures will be selected for exhibition.

Selected participants will receive:

  • Electronic Certificate of Selection
  • Digital Exhibition Catalogue (Album)
  • Publication of the selected artists list online

The China Shengzhou International Caricature Exhibition continues to establish itself as one of China’s major international caricature events, providing artists worldwide with an opportunity to showcase contemporary caricature while celebrating portraiture, satire and visual humor on an international stage.
