Finalists Announced for the 58th World Gallery of Cartoons Skopje 2026
Following the selection of 130 cartoonists earlier this summer, the 58th World Gallery of Cartoons – Skopje 2026 has announced the artists advancing to the finalist stage of the international competition.
The competition, organized by OSTEN in North Macedonia, received 988 cartoons from 261 cartoonists representing 58 countries. The first selection reduced that field to 130 cartoonists, whose works then entered the international jury process.
The latest announcement identifies the finalists who remain in contention for the 2026 awards.

What Happens Next
According to OSTEN’s official competition schedule, the international jury stage takes place during July and August. The awarded cartoonists are scheduled to be announced in September 2026, followed by the official exhibition and award-giving ceremony in Skopje in November–December.
The World Gallery of Cartoons was established in Skopje in 1969 and remains one of the longest-running international events devoted to cartoon art.
