Theme: “BREAKING POINT”
The 11th edition of the KalDer Bursa International Cartoon Contest is now open for entries! This year, the competition invites artists from around the globe to explore the profound concept of the “Breaking Point.”
🎨 Contest Topic: “BREAKING POINT”
A moment of awareness, an awakening. From a social perspective, it sometimes means transitioning into a new era. A necessary stage in the advancement of science and technology.
- A New Beginning: An irreversible starting point caused by a disrupted balance.
- A Critical Turning Point: At certain times in life, hitting rock bottom and making a new choice.
- Dynamics of Change: The breaking point isn’t only an individual phenomenon but also one of the fundamental dynamics of change and progress in social and historical processes.
- Potential for Renewal: Every breaking point carries within it the potential for renewal and development.
The Challenge: When we reach a turning point, how can we identify opportunities and risks and redefine our goals? As we restructure for the future and economic development, moving from traditional systems to different ones, what path should we follow?

1. Adult Category (Ages 17 and above)
- 1st Place: 25.000 TL & Plaque
- 2nd Place: 20.000 TL & Plaque
- 3rd Place: 15.000 TL & Plaque
- Honorable Mentions: Three Plaques
- Jury Special Award: Plaque
2. Young Category (Ages 16 and below)
- 5 Achievement Medals
- 15 Finalist Certificates
Note: Reward money will be paid according to exchange rates of the date of payment in USD for international artists.
📜 Participation Rules
- Eligibility: Open to all amateur and professional caricaturists internationally.
- Submission Limit: Limited to three (3) caricatures.
- Technical Requirements: 300 dpi JPG format.
- How to Enter: E-mail your works to bursa@kalder.org.
- AI Policy: Works produced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.
- Originality: Caricatures can be previously published but must not have been awarded in another competition.
- Publication: One of the artworks may be used as the main visual of the 23rd Quality and Success Symposium in Bursa (April 28, 2026).
