International Art Competition: Exploring Beijing’s Cultural Heritage

Artists worldwide are invited to participate in an exclusive international art competition celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Beijing. Whether you are a caricaturist, illustrator, cartoonist, printmaker, or painter, this competition provides a platform to showcase your creativity and explore history through art.

Competition Themes

Participants can submit artworks under the following categories:

  • A. Temple of Heaven
  • B. Peking Man, Primitive Man, Primitive Tribes
  • C. Ming Tombs, Tombs, Cemeteries, Souls, Kings
  • D. The Great Wall
  • E. Summer Palace
  • F. The Imperial Palace
  • G. Grand Canal, Rivers, Bridges, Boats
  • H. Beijing Central Axis
  • K. World Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, Monuments

Submission Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Open to artists of all nationalities, ages, and genders.
  • Entry Limit: Up to 10 works per theme (pieces or series).
  • Size: Artwork must be A3 (297mm x 420mm).
  • Techniques: Accepted mediums include painting, printmaking, traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, craft art, and children’s painting.
  • Digital Submission: Send entries via email to redmanart@126.com.
  • Computer Graphics: Digital artwork is accepted.
  • Previously Awarded Works: Entries that have won prizes in other competitions are eligible.
  • Author Information: Each submission must include an artist’s resume, photo, entry form, and a short biography.
  • Entry Form: Available for download at www.redmancartoon.com/en. Self-made entry forms are also accepted.
  • Deadline: April 15, 2025

Awards & Prizes

Winners in each category will receive:

  • Golden Prize (1 winner): RMB 1000 + Certificate + Catalog
  • Silver Prize (1 winner): Certificate + Catalog
  • Bronze Prize (1 winner): Certificate + Catalog
  • Excellence Prize (10 winners): Certificate + Catalog
  • Selection Prize: Digital Certificate + PDF Catalog

Publication & Rights

  • Selected works may be featured in brochures, posters, international press, and exhibitions.
  • Submitted works will not be returned.
  • The host retains the right to use selected artworks for promotional purposes while copyrights remain with the artists.
  • Participation implies full acceptance of the competition rules.
