2026 ShinHan Postcard Art Contest Announces Global Call for Young Artists
South Korean art materials company ShinHan Art Materials has officially launched the 2026 ShinHan Postcard Art Contest, inviting children and teenagers from around the world to share their imagination and artistic vision through postcard-sized paintings.
The long-running international youth art competition encourages young creatives to express personal stories, dreams, and emotions using traditional fine art techniques. Open to participants aged 4 to 18, the contest has become a respected global platform supporting artistic development and cross-cultural creativity among young artists.
This year’s theme is:
“A Postcard to Myself: 30 Years from Now. Drawing Tomorrow.”
Participants are invited to imagine their future selves and visually express their hopes, dreams, and expectations for the future. Organizers encourage entrants to reflect on questions such as:
“What would you say to your future self?”
“What kind of tomorrow do you want to imagine?”
Artists are asked to transform these ideas into an original postcard artwork using traditional painting materials.
The competition emphasizes creativity, composition, storytelling, and color sensitivity within a compact format. Although mixed media elements may be included, fine art paint must remain the primary medium.
