11th International Cartoon CompetitionRevises Results After Originality Review

Amasya Municipality has officially revised the results of its 11th International Cartoon Competition after a post-announcement review revealed that some submitted works showed similarities to previously existing cartoons.

According to the official statement released on May 22–23, 2026, the competition’s selection committee re-evaluated the matter and decided, by majority vote, to remove the works considered to be in violation of the originality principle — one of the fundamental rules of the competition. As a result, the related awards and prizes were cancelled.

The municipality emphasized that the decision was taken in order to protect the integrity and credibility of the competition process.

Following the revision, the updated official results are as follows:

🥉 Third Prize — Muammer Bilen
