5th International Sinoplu Diogenes Cartoon Contest 2026 Opens for Entries

The 5th International Sinoplu Diogenes Cartoon Contest has officially announced its 2026 edition, inviting cartoonists from around the world to explore the theme of “Republic and Democracy.”

Organized by Sinop Municipality and the Sinop Association of Writers, Poets and Artists, the competition encourages artists to create works that defend humanity, freedom, democratic values, and the spirit of the republic through the universal language of cartoon art.

Theme: “Republic and Democracy”

Participants are expected to examine the concepts of republic and democracy from artistic, social, and humanitarian perspectives. The organizers emphasize works that stand on the side of freedom, peace, and human dignity.

Participation Rules

The competition is open to both amateur and professional cartoonists worldwide.

Artists may submit an unlimited number of cartoons. However, no participant can receive more than one award.

Artificial intelligence-generated artworks are not accepted, and submitted cartoons must not have previously received awards in another competition.

All participants will receive a digital participation certificate.

Technical Requirements

• Maximum size: A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)
• Resolution: 300 dpi
• Format: JPG
• Technique: Free technique

• Short biography
• One photograph

The organizers reserve the right to use submitted cartoons, whether awarded or not, for non-commercial cultural purposes including exhibitions, posters, books, albums, calendars, brochures, and digital publications. All other rights remain with the artists.

Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of all regulations and conditions set by the organizers.
