The National Cartoonists Society (NCS) has announced the winners of the 80th Annual Reuben Awards, presented in Columbus on August 7, 2026.
The ceremony honored outstanding work from 2025 across cartooning, comics, illustration, animation and graphic storytelling.
The evening’s top honor, the Reuben Award for 2025 Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year, was presented to Mark Tatulli.
Alongside the main Reuben Award, the National Cartoonists Society also announced the winners of the 2025 Divisional Silver Reuben Awards, recognizing artists across a wide range of professional categories.
The winners are:
- Advertising/Product Illustration: Liniers
- Art for Animated Media: GogoPedro
- Book Illustration: Jason Chatfield
- Comic Book: Stan Sakai
- Editorial: Pedro Molina
- Gag Cartoon: Tom Toro
- Graphic Novel: Pierre-Alexandre Comtois
- Magazine/Newspaper Illustration: Nick Galifianakis
- Newspaper Comic Strip: Liniers
- Newspaper Panel: Dave Blazek
- Online Comic – Long Form: Katie Cook
- Online Comic – Short Form: Ricardo y Nacho
- Variety Entertainment: Chuck Dillon
Liniers received two Silver Reuben Awards this year, winning both Advertising/Product Illustration and Newspaper Comic Strip.
The Reuben Awards are presented annually by the National Cartoonists Society and recognize professional achievement across numerous areas of cartooning and visual storytelling.
The 80th edition brought together cartoonists and creators in Columbus, with Mark Tatulli receiving the organization’s highest annual honor and artists in 13 professional categories receiving Divisional Silver Reuben Awards.
