Winners Announced for the Ardino Municipality International Cartoon Contest “Devil’s Bridge” 2026
The winners of the first Ardino Municipality International Cartoon Contest “Devil’s Bridge” 2026 have been announced in Bulgaria.
Held under the theme “Ardino: Nature, History, and Beauty,” the inaugural edition attracted 143 artists from 38 countries across six continents, with a total of 259 cartoons submitted to the competition.
The award-winning and selected works were presented in an exhibition organized as part of the “Days of Ardino 2026” celebrations. The competition was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Ardino Municipality, Eng. Izet Shaban.
The international jury was chaired by Valeri Alexandrov and included Halit Kurtulmus Aytoslu, Zhivko Tenev, Radu Yatscu, Fan Lintau, Fawzy Morsy and Evgeni Nachev.
The Grand Prize – Golden Devil’s Bridge was awarded to Mehmed Zeber.
Second Prize – Silver Devil’s Bridge: Gergely Bagsa
Third Prize – Bronze Devil’s Bridge: Ivaylo Tsvetkov
In addition to the three main awards, the organizers presented eleven special prizes to artists from China, Poland, Iran, Austria, Ukraine, Indonesia and Turkey, recognizing the high artistic quality of their works.
The first edition of the “Devil’s Bridge” International Cartoon Contest brought together artists from six continents and introduced a new international cartoon event to Bulgaria’s cultural calendar.
