Participants Announced for the International Cartoon Competition in Czech Republic 2026

The organizing committee of the International Cartoon Competition in Czech Republic 2026 has officially announced the participants selected for the international exhibition dedicated to this year’s theme, “Construction & Building.”

The exhibition brings together a diverse collection of cartoons inspired by construction, architecture, renovation, engineering, and urban development. Through humor and artistic creativity, cartoonists from around the world offer unique perspectives on the built environment and the challenges and transformations of modern cities.

According to the organizers, the competition received 986 cartoons submitted by 307 cartoonists from 54 countries, demonstrating the growing international interest in the event and the universal appeal of cartoon art.

Participants represent a wide geographical range, including countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America, highlighting the truly global character of the exhibition. The extensive list of selected artists reflects the diversity of contemporary cartooning and the competition’s growing international reputation.

The international jury consists of renowned Czech cartoonists and humorists Vladimir Dvořák, Mirek Tapír Vostrý, and Petr Slaba, joined by Polish cartoonist and humorist Marek Mosor. The jury panel also includes Roman Krouža, Mayor of Neratovice, and Roman Beneš, businessman and exhibition partner.

The competition is organized by Dr. Humor and supported by several international partners, including Tapír Magazine, Egypt Cartoon, Syria Cartoon, and Stavebniny Líbeznice.

With its focus on creativity, social commentary, and visual storytelling, the International Cartoon Competition in Czech Republic continues to serve as an important meeting point for cartoonists worldwide while promoting cultural exchange through the art of cartooning.

The selected works will be presented in an international exhibition dedicated to the theme of construction and building, showcasing how artists from different cultures interpret urban development, architecture, and modern society through humor and satire.

The publication of the participants’ list marks another important milestone in the competition and sets the stage for the upcoming exhibition and announcement of the final results.
