16th International Cartoon Contest “FRAŠTACKÝ TŔŇ” 2026: Call for Entries
The EX LIBRIS AD PERSONAM HLOHOVEC and the Homeland Museum in Hlohovec, Slovakia, have officially announced the 16th edition of the biennial international cartoon competition, “FRAŠTACKÝ TŔŇ” 2026. This prestigious event invites cartoonists from all over the world to participate.
Contest Themes
The competition features two distinct categories for participants:
- Theme A: Artificial Intelligence
- Theme B: Free Theme
Submission Rules and Conditions
Interested artists must adhere to the following regulations to ensure their entries are eligible for consideration:
- Submission Requirement: Each contestant is required to submit a minimum of four works (two works per theme).
- Technique and Format: The drawing technique is free. Original works are preferred; however, digital entries sent by email will also be accepted by the jury. While the size is free, A4 is recommended.
- AI Prohibition: In a significant move, the organizers have stated that works created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools will not be accepted.
- Language: It is advisable that the works do not contain text or comments to ensure universal understanding. All correspondence with foreign participants must be conducted in English.
- Information required: Participants must write their name, age, profession, address, telephone number, and email address on the reverse side of their physical work.
- Deadlines: The deadline for sending contest works is August 14, 2026.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded by the jury:
- 1st Prize: 500 EUR
- 2nd Prize: 250 EUR
- 3rd Prize: 100 EUR
Jury Session and Exhibition
The jury session will be held on August 24, 2026. The ceremonial announcement of the results and the opening of the exhibition are scheduled for October 2, 2026, in the Homeland Museum Gallery, Hlohovec.
