Peschiera Borromeo: “Varie ed Eventuali” Theater Company Presents “Supergiù”

PESCHIERA BORROMEO – On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM, the Oratory of the Sacra Famiglia Parish Church (Piazza Paolo VI) will host a significant cultural event: the performance of “Supergiù.” This two-act comic play, written by Giorgio Giunta and directed by Gabriele Grosso, is staged by the “Varie ed Eventuali” Theater Company with the official patronage of the City of Peschiera Borromeo.

A Comedic Exploration of Human Fragility

“Supergiù” is a dynamic and engaging comedy that balances humor with profound social themes. The script explores delicate issues such as depression, feelings of inadequacy, and human vulnerability, while highlighting the fundamental value of friendship.

A unique feature of this production is its creative integration of classic comic book characters into the narrative, bridging the gap between everyday struggles and heroic ideals.

A Note from the Director

Director Gabriele Grosso shared his enthusiasm for the project, describing the production as a “superhero-level challenge”:

“Directing this comedy written by our friend Gigo (Giorgio Giunta) has been incredibly stimulating. During rehearsals, certain paradoxical situations inspired new, spontaneous gags as the characterizations became clearer and, at times, extreme. The ‘all in’ moments—where the entire cast is on stage simultaneously managing multiple overlapping subplots—were particularly challenging and rewarding.”

Grosso also extended his gratitude to the technical team coordinated by Stefano Martini, specifically praising the innovative audio and lighting solutions designed by Corrado Gebert.

Meet the Creators

Following the performance, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in a meet-and-greet session. Attendees can take photos with their favorite characters and receive a personalized caricature drawn live by the author, Giorgio Giunta.
