The Organizing Committee of EXTEMPORAMNIA’26 has officially announced the winners of MONDIALEXTE’26, the International Caricature Contest held within the framework of the renowned EXTEMPORAMNIA International Festival in Teramo, Italy.
Bringing together cartoonists and caricature artists from around the world, the competition celebrated the universal language of football through humorous and artistic interpretations. The award-winning and selected works are now on display as part of the official EXTEMPORAMNIA’26 Exhibition in the historic city of Teramo.
The main awards were presented as follows:
- First Prize: Gherado Bartoloni (Italy)
- Second Prize: Gerald Soler (France)
- Third Prize: Marco Martellini (Italy)
Two special awards were also presented:
- Special “APEREGINA” Award: Giorgio Giunta (Italy)
- Special Award “Azzurro Savoia – Italy”: Benny Nicolini (Italy)
The jury also presented Honorable Mentions to the following artists:
- Walter Toscano (Peru)
- Simone Beato (Italy)
- Francesco Davide (Italy)
- Theodosios Teneketsidis (Greece)
- Mario Magnatti (Italy)
- Danny Tochon (Brazil)
As part of the festival’s international spirit, Special Mentions were also awarded to artists representing the six FIFA football confederations:
- UEFA: Antonio Santos (Portugal)
- AFC: Zizun Zhu (China)
- CAF: Naji Benaji (Morocco)
- CONCACAF: Luis D. Calvo Solis (Costa Rica)
- CONMEBOL: Gerardo Perez (Argentina)
The exhibition in Teramo showcases the prize-winning works alongside a selection of outstanding entries, highlighting the diversity and creativity of contemporary international caricature. Inspired by the world of football, the collection reflects both artistic excellence and the unifying power of humor across cultures.
