The international jury of the 11th International Contest Animalcartoon 2026 has been officially announced. The competition, held in Belgrade, Serbia, will bring together a distinguished panel of cartoonists, journalists and writers from Egypt and Serbia.
Egyptian cartoonist Fawzy Morsy, President of FECO Egypt, will chair this year’s jury. He will be joined by leading representatives of Serbia’s cartoon, media and literary communities.

The jury will evaluate the submitted works and select the award-winning cartoons in accordance with the competition’s artistic criteria.
The 2026 Theme: “Domestic Animals”
Organized by the Animalcartoon Portal, Informatika Belgrade and the Belgrade Zoological Garden, the international competition is dedicated entirely to cartoons exploring animals and the relationship between humans and the natural world.
The theme of the 2026 edition is “Domestic Animals.” Cartoonists are invited to examine the many roles that domestic animals play in human life through humorous, imaginative and thought-provoking works.
Open to cartoonists from around the world, the contest accepts up to five original and previously unawarded cartoons from each participant. The submission deadline is August 31, 2026. Selected works are expected to be presented through the Animalcartoon platform and at the competition exhibition in Belgrade.
The announcement of the international jury marks another important stage in the 11th edition of the contest, which continues to provide cartoonists with an international platform for addressing animal life, human behaviour and social issues through the universal language of graphic humour.
