International Caricature Exhibition on Tagore and Mahfouz, Egypt 2024

To celebrate Tagore’s birthday, the Embassy of India in Cairo is organizing a caricature exhibition on “Tagore and Mahfouz”, will be held in May, at Maulana Azad Center for Indian Culture in Cairo.

Theme:
Rabindranath Tagore and Naguib Mahfouz.

Rabindranath Tagore (May 7, 1861– August 7, 1941) was active as a poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer, educationist and painter during the age of Bengal Renaissance, he became in 1913 the first non-European and the first lyricist to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Naguib Mahfouz (December 11, 1911 – August 30, 2006) was one of the most famous and prominent Egyptian and Arab writers, and the first Arab writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988.

• We encourage Caricaturists from all over the world to participate in this exhibition.

• Submitted works can be in color or black and white, in any style or technique.
• All artworks to be prepared at 300 dpi.
• Size A3 (297mmx420mm) in JPEG format.
• Please mention the artist’s name and country with the artwork.

• All participants whose works will be exhibited will receive a digital catalog and a digital certificate of participation.

• All selected works for exhibition may be used by the organizers to promote this exhibition.
• Deadline: March 30, 2024.
