Cartoonists Channel Outrage in “Rebellion in Cartoons” Exhibition
Amidst the recent turmoil that has gripped the nation, Bangladeshi cartoonists have found solace and a powerful medium for expression in their art. The Bangladesh Cartoonists Association is set to unveil an exhibition titled “Rebellion in Cartoons” from August 16 to 23 at the DrikPath Bhaban.
The exhibition will showcase a collection of cartoons that offer a poignant commentary on the current state of affairs, with artists fearlessly criticizing both the government and its policies. Organizers believe that this art form has served as a unifying force for the public, offering a much-needed outlet for emotions and fostering a sense of solidarity.
“Our exhibition aims to highlight the invaluable role of cartoons in reflecting the spirit of the times,” said an organizer.”While we cannot encompass every piece created during this challenging period, we hope to transport visitors back to the defining moments of the recent student movement.”
The exhibition will be open daily from 3 PM to 8 PM.
