21st International Cartoon Festival, Solin 2026 Announces Call for Entries

The 21st edition of the International Cartoon Festival Solin 2026 has officially opened its call for entries, inviting cartoonists from around the world to participate in one of Croatia’s long-running international cartoon events.

Organized by the Solin Tourist Board in partnership with the Cultural Center Zvonimir and the Public Library Solin, the festival welcomes artists of all nationalities, ages, genders, and professional backgrounds.

Theme: Black Humor

The main theme of this year’s competition is Black Humor, encouraging artists to explore satire, irony, and contemporary issues through their unique visual language.

Participation Rules

Participants may submit up to three cartoons. Both black-and-white and color works are accepted.

Entries must be sent in JPEG format, with a resolution up to 300 dpi and a maximum file size of 3 MB per artwork. Compressed files such as ZIP or RAR archives will not be accepted.

Artists are also required to include a short biography or CV with their submission.

The organizers clearly state that artworks generated using artificial intelligence are not accepted, and submitted cartoons must not have received previous awards.
