2nd International “Forest Fires” Cartoon Competition Winners Announced: Art for a Greener Future
The winners of the 2nd International “Forest Fires” Cartoon Competition have been officially announced. Organized by the Boyabat Youth Center and Boyabat Academy Sports Club, the competition successfully utilized the universal language of art to draw global attention to the devastating impact of forest fires and the urgency of environmental conservation.
A Global Artistic Movement: 42 Countries, 592 Artworks
The competition saw an impressive turnout, reflecting the global concern over climate change and nature preservation. A total of 380 cartoonists from 42 countries participated, submitting 592 original artworks across Youth and Adult categories.
The Grand Jury
The evaluation process was conducted by a prestigious international jury including cartoonists Altan Özeskici (Turkey), Aşkın Ayrancıoğlu (Turkey), Erhan Yaşar Babalık (Turkey), Guilda Khalife (Iran), Musa Keklik (Turkey), and Ricardo Ferreira (Portugal), alongside Youth Center Director Gökhan Karakaya and Academy Sports Club President Kesim Yıldız.

Award Ceremony and Exhibition
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participating artists for their contribution to global environmental awareness. The official Award Ceremony and Exhibition Opening will take place this June at the Boyabat Cultural Center. The exhibition will showcase selected works, offering a visual narrative on the importance of protecting our forests.
