Results Announced for the International Exhibition “Smiles from the World” in Trento

The organizers of the 21st Festival dell’Economia di Trento have announced the results of the international exhibition “Smiles from the World”, held in Trento, Italy, from 20 to 24 May 2026.

Organized within the framework of one of Europe’s leading economic and cultural events, the exhibition brought together cartoonists from around the world under the theme “From the Market to New Powers, the Hope of Young People.”

The selected works explored the economic, technological, and social transformations shaping contemporary society, offering humorous and satirical perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing younger generations.

Cartoonists Reflect on the Future Through Humor

Through the universal language of cartoon art, participating artists addressed topics such as economic change, technological innovation, shifting global power structures, and the expectations of young people in an increasingly complex world.

The exhibition demonstrated how satire and visual storytelling can contribute to public reflection on important contemporary issues while encouraging dialogue across cultures and borders.

Public Awards

Visitors to the exhibition were invited to vote for their favorite works. Following the public vote, the organizers announced the three most appreciated cartoons of the exhibition.
