CALL FOR ENTRIES: XXI TRENTO ECONOMY FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL CARTOON EXHIBITION
The call for entries is now open for the international exhibition “Smiles from the World,” organized as part of the 21st edition of the Trento Economy Festival, to be held in Trento, Italy, from May 20 to 24, 2026. This special event, curated by Studio Andromeda, provides a humorous and satiric space to reflect on global economic and political themes at Palazzo Trentini.
EXHIBITION THEME
“From the market to new powers. The hope of young people” The theme explores the transition from a world once ruled by traditional market dynamics and globalization to a new era dominated by “new powers.” This includes the rapid growth of Big Tech, American multinationals, and the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence. Participants are invited to depict these shifts and the resulting outlook for the younger generation.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Artists must adhere to the following technical specifications for their submissions:
- Submission Limit: Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 works.
- Technical Format: Files must be in .JPG format, 300 DPI resolution, with a maximum file size of 1 MB.
- File Naming: Files must be named as
Name Surname_Nation. - Compliance: Works that are off-topic, submitted in incorrect formats, or missing required information will be excluded from the selection.
AWARDS AND PUBLIC VOTING
- Exhibition: Selected artworks will be displayed at Palazzo Trentini during the festival.
- Public Prize: Visitors to the exhibition will be invited to vote for their three favorite works. The winner of the “Public’s Prize” will receive a selection of typical regional products from Trentino-South Tyrol.
- Online Gallery: The exhibition will also be hosted digitally on the official Studio Andromeda website starting May 20, 2026.
