International Maya Kamath Memorial Award Cartoon Contest 2026: Call for Entries!
Attention to the world’s cartooning community! To mark the 75th Birth Anniversary of Maya Kamath, the Indian Institute of Cartoonists (IIC) is organizing the International Maya Kamath Memorial Award 2026. This prestigious contest, sponsored by the family of Maya Kamath, is now open for submissions from both professional and amateur artists worldwide.
Contest Themes
This year’s competition focuses on two powerful and globally significant themes:
- Gender Justice
- Women’s Rights
Prizes
The awards offer substantial recognition for exceptional talent:
- 1st Prize: Rs 1,00,000
- 2nd Prize: Rs 50,000
- 3rd Prize: Rs 25,000
- Certificates of Merit: 10 awards of Rs 5,000 each.
Rules and Regulations
- Eligibility: Open to all professional and amateur cartoonists of the world. No age limit.
- Submission Limit: Participants can send a maximum of two cartoons.
- Originality: Entries must be original works and must not have been submitted to other contests.
- Technical Specs: * Size: 800 Pixels x 1100 Pixels.
- Resolution: Minimum 200 DPI.
- Format: JPEG, TIFF, or Bitmap.
