The prestigious OSTEN Skopje has officially announced the call for entries for the 58th World Gallery of Cartoons Skopje 2026 in North Macedonia. As one of the longest-running cartoon events in the world, this is a golden opportunity for professional and amateur cartoonists to gain international recognition.

- Selection Announcement: June 2026
- Finalists Announcement: August 2026
- Awards Ceremony: November – December 2026
Submission Criteria
The gallery is looking for fresh, original perspectives. Here is what you need to know before applying:
- Categories: Cartoons, satirical drawings, and non-verbal comic strips (one panel).
- Theme & Technique: Free choice (Author’s choice).
- Format: A3 (42×30 cm) or A4 (30×21 cm).
- Quantity: Up to 5 works per artist.
- Strict Rule on AI: Works created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be considered. OSTEN prioritizes human creativity and traditional/digital hand-drawn skills.
How to Apply
To be a regular applicant, you must follow a two-step process:
- Digital Submission: Send your application form, a short bio, and digital images of your work to
cartoons@osten.com.mk. - Physical Submission: Original works or signed digital prints must be sent via postal mail to the address in Skopje. Don’t forget to write your name, country, and title on the back of each work!

The 58th WGC offers significant rewards, including:
- Grand Prix for Lifetime Achievement: $1500 + Sculpture
- First Award: $1000 + Plaque
- Second Award: $500 + Plaque
