International School Cartoon Festival 2027 Opens for Entries

The International School Cartoon Festival 2027 (ISCFP) in Portugal has officially opened its call for entries, inviting professional cartoonists, amateur artists, and young talents from around the world to participate.

The theme of this year’s edition is “Culture”, encouraging artists to explore cultural diversity, traditions, heritage, identity, and global dialogue through the universal language of cartoon art.

Professional Category

The competition is open to professional and amateur artists of all nationalities. Submitted works must be in JPG format with 300 dpi resolution.

Participants are required to complete the official registration form and submit their entries by November 30, 2026 via email:

Three winners will be selected in the Professional Category. Each prize includes:

  • A box of 40 Caran d’Ache coloured pencils
  • Trophy
  • Diploma
  • Festival pin
  • Publication in the Tondela newspaper

By participating in the festival, artists automatically grant the organizers non-commercial publication and reproduction rights for the submitted works.

Student Category

The Student Category is open to children aged 12 to 15 years old from all countries.

Entries must also be submitted in JPG format at 300 dpi together with the official registration form before November 30, 2026.

Several awards will be presented across different student categories, including national, international, local school, and higher education categories. Prize packages include Caran d’Ache coloured pencils, trophies, diplomas, festival pins, and publication in the Tondela newspaper.

The jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

The International School Cartoon Festival has become an important meeting point for young talents and established cartoonists alike, celebrating creativity and intercultural dialogue through the art of cartooning.
