The internationally recognized Design Educates Awards 2026 has officially opened its call for entries, inviting architects, designers, students, studios, and creative professionals from around the world to submit projects that go beyond aesthetics and create meaningful social impact.
Organized by the non-profit Laka Foundation, the competition celebrates architecture and design projects that educate, inspire, influence perception, and contribute positively to people, society, and the environment.
The 2026 edition features two major categories:
- Architecture
- Design for Impact
The Architecture category welcomes a broad range of projects, including small-scale shelters, exhibition installations, residential works, public buildings, and urban-scale concepts. Meanwhile, the Design for Impact category focuses on products, concepts, and non-architectural designs that generate social, environmental, or educational value.
Both realized works and conceptual proposals are eligible and evaluated separately. The competition is open to students, emerging designers, independent professionals, companies, and established studios worldwide. Submitted projects should preferably not be older than five years.
The final submission deadline is July 3, 2026.
Entry fees start from 50 EUR for students, while professional and company categories range from 175 EUR to 650 EUR. Participants submitting the same project to both categories receive a 25% discount.

- Gold Prize
- Silver Prize
- Bronze Prize
- Special Recognition
- Honorable Mention
In addition, the highest-scoring student project will receive the “Emerging Designer” label.
Winning participants will benefit from international exposure through certificates, winner labels, inclusion in an ISBN-registered yearbook, participation in the exhibition, media promotion, permanent listing in the Winners Gallery, and complimentary attendance at the awards ceremony in Warsaw.
