Imagine Museum’s New Exhibit: Graphic Worlds: Exploring Comic and Anime Art
St. Petersburg’s Imagine Museum is hosting a new exhibition called “Graphic Worlds: Exploring Comic and Anime Art,” which runs from July 18, 2023 to November 27, 2023. The exhibition features works from Japanese anime and manga art,as well as American comics and graphic novels.
The exhibition includes works by Japanese anime and manga masters such as Osamu Tezuka, Hayao Miyazaki, and Katsuhiro Otomo, as well as American comic book artists such as Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, and Frank Miller. The exhibition also explores the influence of anime and manga art on Western popular culture.
The museum’s director, David Flatt, hopes that the exhibition will attract new audiences to the museum, including fans of comics and anime. Flatt has been working to attract new audiences by hosting a variety of special events, such as art, antique, and craft markets, artist workshops, music performances, and even comedy nights.
Flatt believes that the exhibition will bring a new energy and excitement to the museum. “We hope that this exhibition will allow people to see art forms that they have never seen before and learn about different cultures,” he says.
