Call for Entries – 2nd International Biennial of Political Humor, Cuba 2026

The Ministry of Culture of Cuba, alongside the National Council of Visual Arts (CNAP) and La Jiribilla magazine, has officially opened the doors for the 2nd International Biennial of Political Humor. This prestigious event, held in the vibrant city of Havana from June 9 to 14, 2026, invites artists, illustrators, and cartoonists from every corner of the globe to sharpen their pens for a critical cause.

The Theme: Globalization & Cultural Colonialism

This year’s edition takes a deep dive into the impact of globalization. Participants are challenged to playfully yet critically explore:

  • The effects of cultural colonialism.
  • The influence of the hegemonic cultural industry on modern society.
  • The tension between global trends and local identities.

Submission Guidelines & Requirements

If you are ready to showcase your work on an international stage, here is what you need to know:

  • Format: Digital submission (JPG, 300 dpi, minimum 2400 pixels on the longest side).
  • Submission Email: bienalhumorpoliticocu@gmail.com
  • Required Info: Full name (and artistic name), Country, Title of the work, Home address, Email, and Phone number.
  • Deadline: April 30, 2026.

Selected works will be printed and featured in the main exhibition in Havana, as well as various collateral exhibitions.
