The organizers emphasize that football, like cartooning, is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and differences. Beyond being a sport, football has often acted as a bridge between societies and has played a role in reconciliation even after periods of conflict.
This year’s portrait theme honors Fadil Vokrri, one of the most influential figures in Kosovo football history. His dedication and vision laid the foundations for the growth of football in Kosovo and inspired generations of athletes and fans. Although he passed away before witnessing Kosovo’s recent football successes, his legacy continues to unite people and inspire future generations.
